Steam Integration
Secure Mods. Seamless Installs.
Workshop Sync Features
Bridge your ModVault library directly to Steam Workshop. Our integration pushes verified mod files, handles dependency resolution, and maintains cross-platform compatibility without manual re-uploads.
Automatic Tagging & Visibility
ModVault scrapes your mod metadata and auto-generates Steam-compatible tags like 'Physics Overhaul', 'QoL', and 'Performance'. Your workshop page inherits ModVault's download counters and rating scores, keeping visibility consistent across both platforms.
Dependency Mapping
When you sync a mod requiring SKSE64 or F4SE, the integration automatically attaches the correct Steam Workshop dependency IDs. Subscribers get a single-click install with zero missing file errors.
Limitations & Workarounds
Steam Workshop caps individual uploads at 250MB. Mods exceeding this threshold will fail the sync pipeline. Workaround: Split large texture packs into modular sub-directories or use our compressed BSA export toggle before initiating the bridge.
Setup & Configuration
Connect your ModVault developer account to Steam Workshop in three steps. Requires a valid Steam Web API key and Workshop publishing rights for your target game.
Navigate to your ModVault dashboard, select 'Platform Bridges', and paste your 32-character Steam API key into the authentication field. Toggle 'Auto-Publish on Release' to push new versions directly to the Workshop, or use 'Manual Sync' to review metadata before deployment. The system validates file hashes against Steam's CDN requirements and reports conflicts within 48 hours.
Note: Workshop updates propagate to subscribers within 24 hours. If your mod utilizes custom script frameworks, disable the 'Steam Cloud Sync' toggle to prevent save-file corruption. For legacy mods published before 2022, use the retroactive ID mapping tool to link existing workshop pages to your ModVault repository.
